  • Overview

    The Remarketing Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement of lease vehicle inventory to ensure timely and cost efficient practices are employed. The Remarketing Logistics Specialist will be responsible for completing a wide variety of complex tasks and will interact with transportation providers, Distribution Center employees, Remarketing Specialists and auctions to ensure optimal business results and objectives are achieved. Responsibilities will include vehicle exception management, rate comparisons, coordination of vehicle transportation requests and other responsibilities related to vehicle logistics. Coordination with internal departments to ensure the efficient movement of vehicles will be required. This position will be located in Arlington TX.



    • Responsible for coordinating vehicle transportation from dealerships and for Distribution Center to physical auctions, which includes managing delivery times and transportation expenses
    • Responsible for timely shipment of outbound vehicles to assure proper distribution to intended venues, managing cycle times and expenses
    • Assess inventory pending transportation and identify options to minimize vehicle aging while awaiting transportation
    • Ensure pricing is competitive, service level expectations are achieved and vendors are compliant with GM Financial Policies
    • Perform follow-up and resolution for transportation related damages as identified
    • Support the Regional AVP's with the redistribution of inventory for high volume auction locations when determined necessary
    • Support Customer Experience objectives by providing exceptional customer service to our vendors, dealers and GM Financial colleagues
    • Build and maintain professional relationships with outside vendors using clear and concise communication
    • Complete other assignments as determine by leadership or as identified
    • Perform/assist with inventory and vendor audits as necessary


    Remarketing Solutions Distribution Center Manager US



    • Knowledge of the transportation, auction and/or remarketing industry is required
    • Experience managing transportation, logistics or online vehicle sales is preferred
    • Knowledge of Remarketing vendor systems such as AutoIMS, OpenLane’s platform, and AutoVIN


    • Must possess the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and possess strong time management abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendor personnel, and management
    • Ability to professionally represent GM Financial with dealers, internal customers, and vendors/auction personnel during all interactions
    • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
    • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products


    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required


    • automotive remarketing experience in both online and physical auction sales preferred
    • previous logistics experience, automotive or non-automotive preferred
    • automotive finance industry experience and/or IARA Certified Automotive Remarketer/CAR certification preferred
